  A coalition of faith groups met with Justice Department officials Monday to encourage the Obama administration to take a more public stance against anti-Muslim hate speech and hate crimes.

  Last week in New York City, a taxi cab driver was repeatedly stabbed allegedly by a passenger who asked him, "Are you a Muslim?" before the attack.

  On Saturday, a fire was discovered at the construction site for a mosque and community center in Murfreesboro, Tenn., that has been a topic of controversy in the city. Police said the fire is being investigated as a possible arson and hate crime.

  And a church in Gainesville, Fla., has announced it plans to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11, to mark the anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks.

  "We are a thriving democracy, we appreciate free speech, but when it crosses the line into violence, that's against the law," she said. "And the [Justice] Department, the federal government, the nation's chief law enforcement officer is going to prosecute and hold them responsible to the fullest extent of the law.

  Back in May, we posted on a second mosque near Ground Zero that is also looking for a new location downtown. At that time, prior to being scrutinized, the Masjid Manhattan website displayed a banner on its website stating: Build the “House of Allah” next to the World Trade Center ! Help us raise he flag of “LA ILLAHA ILLA ALLAH” ! (screen shot below or see an archive back to 2008 with the scrolling message).

  

  A commenter suggested that if Governor of New York were going to help relocate the proposed mosque at Ground Zero that this group could use the space. They may need space, but it’s not the state’s job to outfit Muslims with mosques – particularly when their goal is to spread Islam and sharia.

  The paper posted an English-language audio clip in which he refers to Wilders as "this Satan, this devil, this politician in Holland" and explains that anyone who talks about Islam like Wilders does should be executed by beheading."]

  AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – A well-known Australian Muslim cleric has called for the beheading of Dutch anti-Islamic politician Geert Wilders, a newspaper said on Friday.

  Wilders' Freedom Party scored the biggest gains in June 9 polls and is currently negotiating to form a new minority government with the Liberals and Christian Democrats. Polls show Wilders would win a new election if one were called now.

  Wilders demanded to know why he had learnt about the threat from the newspaper and not from Dutch authorities who are guarding him after a film and remarks he made angered Muslims around the world.

  If you haven’t read the previous post, please do. Sophia Tareen happens to be a member of the group highlighted in that post, the Muslim American Journalists Association.

  To that end, read her AP piece linked below. While she parrots CAIR’s talking points from CAIR’s lawsuit, Tareen provides the reader with no background on the unindicted co-conspirator, terror-linked “group” CAIR. She claims to have attempted to contact the Investigative Project on Terrorism, and may well have, but she failed to provide any of IPT’s readily and publicly available information on the ousted Muslim chaplain Kifah Mustapha.

  CHICAGO — A Muslim advocacy group filed a federal discrimination lawsuit Monday over an Illinois State Police decision to revoke the appointment of the agency’s first Muslim chaplain.

  Kifah Mustapha, a Chicago-area imam, was named a chaplain in December along with chaplains of other faiths. He underwent training, passed a background check and was issued state identification. But shortly after, the appointment was criticized by the Washington-based Investigative Project on Terrorism, which said Mustapha was a “radical fundraiser” and alleged he had links to Palestinian militant group Hamas.

  EUGENE, Ore. — The prosecution said Monday the founder of the U.S. branch of an Islamic charity accused of trying to smuggle $150,000 to Muslim fighters in Chechnya took extreme steps to leave no paper trail.

  But the defense countered tax-form mistakes key to the prosecution's case were made by the charity's accountant, not the defendant.

  Pete Seda, also known as Pirouz Sedaghaty, is in U.S. District Court on charges of conspiracy, tax fraud and failing to report sending $150,000 out of the country. He has pleaded not guilty, contending the money was for refugees, not Muslim fighters trying to overthrow the government of Chechnya.

  JERUSALEM – The controversial imam behind a plan to build a Muslim cultural center near Ground Zero recommended that President Obama support the Islamic revolution in Iran.
  
  Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf also argued against the U.S. aiding the pro-democracy protesters who were being violently suppressed by the Iranian regime.
  
  The information comes after it was reported Rauf's Cordoba Initiative website scrubbed a photograph of the imam posing with the chief of an Iranian "human rights" council that has been accused of multiple human rights violations as well as imposing Shariah law.

  Two Men on a United Airlines flight from Chicago were detained today when the plane arrived in the Netherlands.
  
  U.S. officials say luggage belonging to one of the men contained what appeared to be mock bombs - and they may have been testing the security system.
  
  CBS News Justice correspondent Bob Orr reports U.S. officials are still trying to figure out whether or not this is a real threat. But, it is suspicious. Two men who flew from Chicago to Amsterdam have now been arrested the Netherlands.

  That pretty much sums up the Obama administration’s national security assessment regarding our ongoing conflict with radical Islam and global jihad.
  
  Early evidence of this was the Pentagon report on the Ft. Hood jihadist attack. The mountains of evidence, including Nidal Hasan screaming “Allahu Akbar” as he fired away, seem indisputable that Hasan was motivated by the ideology of jihad.
  
  Yet the Pentagon report achieves the remarkable feat of avoiding the mention of “radical Islam,” “jihad,” or any similar references, anywhere in the body of the report.

  Opposition to the so-called “Ground Zero Mosque” is increasing across America. ACT! for America President Brigitte Gabriel has conducted numerous radio interviews on the issue.  ACT! for America has sent out national emails, launched a national petition, and encouraged its members to attend a rally in New York and contact Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office. 

  Why are we doing this?
